Marvel has released the first trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp today after months of teasing set photos and pictures of the new costumes. Director Peyton Reed teased the first trailer on Twitter last night.
This is the first in-depth look we’ve seen of the Ant-Man sequel since it was first announced in October 2015. Set as a sequel to the 2015’s Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp once again sees Paul Rudd suit up as the shrinking superhero Ant-Man, this time joined by Evangeline Lilly, who’ll be joining in on the action as Wasp (in case you didn’t quite get that from the title). Also returning is Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, the inventor of the shrinking technology that gives both Ant-Man and the Wasp their powers. Michael Peña will also return as Ant-Man’s scene-stealing star Luis.
The trailer shows us a look into what the plot of the new movie will be, which revolves round rescuing the original Wasp from the Quantum Realm which was teased in the 2015 Ant-Man movie.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is set to hit theatres July 6th, 2018.
